A gutter has a single job, which is to take what the roof sheds and deliver it to the drain. When it fails, the water goes down the wall, soaks the fascia and soffit, and on a bad day gets back under the first row of slates. A neglected gutter often ends up as a roof problem.
Most gutter faults are small ones: a joint whose seal has dried out, a bracket that has worked loose, a run that has lost its fall and holds water, an outlet blocked with moss and grit. These are repairs, and cheaper than replacement.
Where the fascia behind the gutter is rotten, or the run is cracked and past mending, we say so and quote for replacement. A complete gutter replacement carries the Lifetime Leak Guarantee; a repair carries the same written 10-year workmanship guarantee.

Can you repair a gutter instead of replacing it?
Often yes. Leaking joints, loose brackets and blocked outlets are repair jobs. A cracked or badly sagging run is better replaced.
Do you clean gutters?
We clear them as part of repair and maintenance visits. It is not a stand-alone service, so ask when you ring.
